On 5 September 2009 Lucy attended the Qantas Film and Television Awards 2009. She was briefly interviewed at the event.

You can see Lucy arriving at 0.53 sec into the video and she's interviewed briefly at 3.02 minutes into it.

Lucy Lawless Movie – A Bitter Song (1991)

A Bitter Song is a short film made in 1991 and deals with Greek migrants to New Zealand. It’s the story of a troubled young girl whose father, a Greek resistence fighter in the war (the film is set in 1956) that ends up in hospital for a suspicious lump on her leg.

Lucy’s role is that of hospital nurse.

Actress LUCY LAWLESS is calling on movie bosses to adapt XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS for the big screen - because she fears fans will lose interest in the fantasy series if it's revived for TV.

The New Zealand-born star is best known for playing the warrior pin-up in the cult programme, which she is desperate to see brought back to life as a feature film. She tells Out.com, "I love that character. I would do it if it was a movie. I doubt I would do it as a TV series. I can't see how you would make it fresh.

"By the time somebody does come up with that I'm just going to be too old. And I'm really sad about that. I feel like it's a completely wasted franchise."

IGN has the latest details about the Bitch Slap DVD, it is to be released March 2.

The action flick stars a sexy young cast, including Julia Voth, Erin Cummings and America Olivo, with cameos by Hercules' Kevin Sorbo and Michael Hurst and Xena's Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor.

The DVD includes commentary by cast and crew and a behind-the-scenes documentary featurette and will be available for the suggested retail price of $22.98.
