Broadway on Broadway Show

New York’s “Broadway On Broadway” was introduced by Lucy Lawless and the Grease! cast. This year’s free concert filled Times Square with some 50,000 people while 200 actors performed songs from 24 Broadway shows.

Before Lucy opened the show, these words appeared on the big screen above the stage:

THE PRODUCTION COMPANY AND CREW OF BROADWAY ON BROADWAY DEDICATE THIS AFTERNOON’S PERFORMANCE TO TWO GREAT WOMEN OF THE WORLD. PRINCESS DIANA AND MOTHER TERESA.
