Lawless Feel The Love Day Update...
09 September 2008
FEEL THE LOVE DAY!
(posted by Sharon Delaney on behalf of Rebecca who started this
and whose computer is acting up)
Hey Gang,
It's time for the third annual "Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day"
charity drive. September 21st kicks off a week of charitable
acts and contributions by Lucy fans all over the world. Taking
our love for all things Lucy and sharing it with those around us
who are in need.
You can choose what you'd like to do, whether it is
donating money or supplies to a charity, volunteering your
time or services to a charitable organization, reading to a
child, or helping out a neighbor, co-worker, or friend. Any
act of charity or kindness counts!
And this year, Lucy came up with a great idea! If you choose
to volunteer and donate your time doing something that can
be photographed for "Feel the Love Day," bring a camera
along and get a picture of yourself in action. If you're
making a donation, perhaps you can take a photo of you and
the charity's home page on your computer? Or come up with
another way to visualize the action. Send it in to Sharon at
lucylawlessfanclub@dslextreme.com
The photos can be sent in at any time you do the volunteer
work. There's no deadline for sending in the pictures. Lucy
has a plan for the photos although she hasn't said what yet.
And we'll be putting up a webpage of them on her website.
Anyone, anywhere can participate, regardless of how old (or
young) you are, or where you live. All you have to do is
decide what charitable or kind act you would like to do
during "Feel the Love" week, and e-mail it with your name
and location as you would like it to appear on the pledge
list. On Sept. 21st, Lucy will be presented with a red rose
and the pledge list of all the charitable acts being done in
her honor that week. To make sure your pledge gets recorded
correctly please use the following format in your e-mail:
"In honor of Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day, I will (insert
your intended contribution)
, then put your name and location (city, state,
country) as you want it to appear on the pledge list."
Please separate this information with space lines before and
after in your e-mail.
* Unfortunately, personal messages, street and e-mail addresses,
phone numbers, detailed descriptions of your chosen charity and
links CANNOT be included on the pledge list.
However, if you'd like to write a line or two about what you are
doing and why, feel free . . . it just cannot be included on the
list to Lucy.
I will be contacting Starship Children's Hospital to add a link
on their website that allows you to make your donation in honor
of "Feel the Love Day."
Since my computer has been on the fritz, Sharon has been kind
enough to volunteer to run "Feel the Love Day" this year. Please
e-mail your pledges to her at
lucylawlessfanclub@dslextreme.com
The deadline for submitting pledges is September 20.
Then you have the whole week of the 21-28th to follow through on
your pledge and send in a picture. Or later if what you plan to
do doesn't fall in that week.
I'm really excited to participate again this year and I can't
wait to see the pictures of "Feel the Love Day" in action!
Thanks so much!
Rebecca

Six Free Tickets for Lucy San Francisco Concert
An update to the recent announcement for free tickets.
I've received an email from a fan who wishes to remain
anonymous that there is another ticket we can offer in
addition to the 5 already announced.
23 August 2008
AUSXIP is proud to announce a contest with a difference. You
have a chance to nominate a fan who you think is deserving to
see Lucy in Concert but is unable to do so for various financial
or health reasons.
This
is an extraordinary gift by a very generous fan to those who
haven't and can't see Lucy live in concert. The prize is to see
Lucy in San Francisco for her Come to Mama concert on the 27
September 2008
The fan will have to make their own way there and have their own
accomodation but the ticket to see Lucy will be paid for. That's
a $100 ticket.
How does one enter? Write to me at
maryd@ausxip.com and nominate a fan that you think deserves
this ticket.
There are 5 tickets available...hold it...we now have 6 tickets
:)
Please submit your entries from TODAY till 1 September 2008 (we
have extended the Lucy Lawless Feel The Love Day just for this
event because 21 September is a little too close to 27 September
and not enough time for people to get organised).
All entries will be read, then 5 will be chosen and those people
will be contacted get their ticket.
It's this kind of generosity that Lucy Lawless Feel The Love Day
was born to encourage and this fandom has very generous,
thoughtful and loving fans.

The following is from Rebecca
Hey Everyone It's that time of year again ! Friday, Sept. 21, will
be Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day.
So that everyone will get a chance to participate, once again, the
21st will kick off a week of charitable acts and donations by the
fans in honor and support of Lucy. On the 21st, Lucy will be
presented with a single red rose, a card from her official fan club,
and the list of all the charitable acts and donations that will be
made in her honor.
All you need to do to participate is decide what charitable act, or
donation you will make either on that day, or during that week, and
e-mail it to imp5 23@yahoo.com (without the spaces) in the
following format: "In honor of Lucy Lawless Feel the Love Day, I
will (insert your intended contribution), then put your name and
location (city, state, country) as you want it to appear on the
pledge list." Please separate this information with space lines
before and after in your e-mail. *
Unfortunately, personal messages, street and e-mail addresses, phone
numbers, detailed descriptions of your chosen charity and links can
NOT be included on the pledge list. The deadline for e-mailing your
pledges will be Tuesday Sept 18th at 8pm EST, so that the list can
reach Lucy on Friday the 21st.
Remember, you need to decide what contribution you will make and e-
mail it to me by Tuesday's deadline, but you will have the whole
week of the 21-28 to complete your donation. Fans of all ages and
from all locations can participate and everyone can choose for
themselves what they will pledge to do that week, whether it's
helping out an elderly or ill friend/neighbor, visiting a children's
ward, volunteering your time, or making a monetary donation to
charity.
Obviously, it will be up to each of you to see that you follow
through on your contribution. So, spread the word (all you wonderful
cross-posters) and let's see how much "greater good" we can do this
year, while we share our love for Lucy with those around us, and
show the world what Lucy fans are all about!!
Thank You! Rebecca
