 The following information is from the Official Xena Fan Club Page about the KidsArt Cards that Lucy drew -
you can see
the large versions here Lucy told Sharon that she did the cards on the set of Darkroom and tha she was in her "mom" costume. Lucy originally used a stalk of grass dipped in green paint to do the
drawing and then went over it with the black marker. The green paint can still be seen underneath. 4 July 2005

DarkRoom Update: Lucy's Message About The Movie
The following message is from Lucy (via the Official Xena Fan Club/Sharon Delaney):
Lucy just finished filming the Mindfire Entertainment/CFQ Films indie
feature, "The Darkroom," produced by Mark Altman and directed by Mike
Hurst. Stanley, a teenage boy, is befriended by an escapee from a
mental institution who sees visions of horrible murders being
committed. Stanley has his own mystery as he tries to discover where
his stepfather goes at night. Reed Diamond (Homicide) plays the
mental patient. Shawn Pyfrom (Desperate Housewives) plays Stanley.
Greg Grunberg (Alias) plays the stepfather. And Lucy is Stanley's
mother.
"I play the emotionally abused wife who's trying to keep her family
together. I'm the mother Stanley's trying to protect. Charlize
Theron would have loved this part. I met the filmmakers and decided
they were the real deal. Working with Greg was such a pleasure and
Mike Hurst, Mark and Chuck. It was an honor to work with them. It
was after meeting them I decided I want to work with these people.
P.S. Mike Hurst is not the same person who played Iolaus."

Updated Lucy Movie News - The Darkroom - Fangoria Magazine
The following information is from Fangoria Magazine
Busy producer Mark Altman of Mindfire Entertainment/CFQ Films, who has wrapped ALL SOULS DAY, HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 and ROOM 6 all within the last 18 months, has a new film before the cameras in LA: a
serial-killer thriller called THE DARKROOM. Written by Mike Hurst and Altman and directed by Hurst (who also helmed by HOD2 and ROOM 6), THE DARKROOM, according to the official synopsis, “is the story of a
nameless amnesiac man [HOMICIDE’s Reed Diamond] who has spent over a decade in a mental institution in hopes of remembering anything about his past. When he is subjected to an experimental drug that fails
to help, he suffers a violent hallucination and makes his escape during an altercation between guards and another patient.
“Arriving in the city, he befriends Stanley, a nerdy 15-year-old boy [DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES’ Shawn Pyfrom], who lives with his alcoholic mother [BOOGEYMAN’s Lucy Lawless] and his stepfather Bob [ALIAS’ Greg
Grunberg], while suffering from horrific visions of a terrible creature committing brutal acts on those around him. Realizing that all is not right with his stepdad, who disappears almost every night,
Stanley enlists the man’s help to investigate Bob’s hidden secrets, leading them to his locked darkroom inside their home—which may not only hold the clue to Stanley’s questions about his father, but the
man’s identity as well.”
“THE DARKROOM is very dark,” Altman tells Fango. “It’s our SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. We’ve been very happy with Mike’s work on the last few films, so he went right into DARKROOM while he was in post on ROOM 6.”
Hurst also previously directed NEW BLOOD and scripted the recent Sci Fi Channel movie MANSQUITO, recently released on video by First Look as MOSQUITOMAN. —Tony Timpone

Just got word from Peg who got a note from Wolf Event Convention organisers (Alias Rendezvous 2 convention). It seems guest Greg Grunberg, couldn't make it and sent in this email:
“Guys, I am so sorry I cannot be there with you. I had planned on being there and hanging with all of you, right up until just a few days ago. But unfortunately I was cast in a new horror film called THE
DARKROOM starring opposite Lucy Lawless..."
