If it weren't for her role in the cult TV series Xena: Warrior Princess, raven-haired Lucy Lawless might still be an ash-blonde. Upon being cast as mythical femme fatale Xena, the New Zealand actress's makeover included dying her tresses, adding hair extensions and cutting her fringe short and blunt. She has inspired countless others to adopt the look, but Lawless, 30 is more impressed with the style's practicality. "It's not a fashion statement," she says. "In a good scrape, you don't want hair in your eyes."
